Mingming Hu from Leiden University has presented the HISER project on the International Society for Industrial Ecology (ISIE) joint 12th Socio-Economic Metabolism section conference and 5th Asia-Pacific conference in Nagoya, Japan. The speech has introduced the HISER project and its research on Material Flow Analysis for Better Recovery of Construction and Demolition Waste in Europe to the international audients of the conference, the frontier researchers on socio-economic metabolism analysis.
Mingming is a member of International Society for Industrial Ecology and a member of Chinese Society for Industrial Ecology. Experience of HISER project on how to facilitate the circular economy development with the socio-economic metabolism analysis was profoundly discussed with the society members working on the similar projects.
Besides, the methodological development of the HISER project titled with ‘A Stepwise Method for Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment’ has been presented on the back to back event, Eco-balance 2016 conference in Kyoto, Japan.
