HISER project hold its GA meeting in Brussels in September
From 28th to 30th September 2015 HISER project had its second General Assembly meeting. This time the event was held in the facilities of the Liaison agency Flanders-Europe in Brussels.
The HISER beneficiaries are daily in contact by phone and email to solve the technical and administrative problems. Project coordinator, workpackage and main task leaders hold virtual meetings once a month to put in common the details about work progress and to identify potential difficulties. However periodic face-to-face meetings are beneficial for the consortium, they allow an easy update about the different activities to all the participants and external advisors. Twice a year, all HISER participants are invited to attend these meetings, which location varies to visit the activities in progress and the biggest parties.
The agenda of this meeting was organized to present the results of the most developed workpackages to three of the Advisory Board members, who attended on Tuesday 29 and share their experience and points of view with the HISER consortium. This time the advisory members were an expert in urban mining, the European Commission officer of Gypsum-to-gypsum project and a CDW policy maker. This full-day encounter was dedicated to show the progress about methods and tools for more efficient selective demolitions of complex buildings and innovative solutions for a higher recovery of materials from Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW). In addition preliminary information about the project Case Studies was showed.
Other activities of the project were also presented the rest of the days. The most relevant were the definition of the framework for the environmental and economic life cycle analysis and the dissemination of the project activities.
Next General Assembly meeting of the project is planned for February 2016 in Orléans (France).
