CHII-2016 (Conference on Hyperspectral Imaging in Industry, Graz, Austria, 2016, 15 – 16 June) was the first conference focusing on current and future hyperspectral developments for industrial applications.
The aim was to bring together the main stakeholders in the field of hyperspectral imaging, to exchange knowledge and to plan for future collaboration projects. The conference was based on a unique concept featuring presentations, seminars, showcases and a brokerage event for pre-planned face-to-face meetings.
On behalf of the HISER consortium the very first contribution of the conference talks was titled "Spectral imaging supported sorting of construction and demolition waste" by Dr. Frank Hollstein and Dipl.-Ing. Markus Wohllebe from RTT Steinert GmbH.
In total, 141 participants from 21 countries were registered at CHII-2016 from all over the world (EU, USA, Korea, and Viet Nam). The great success encouraged the organizers to re-peat the Conference in the future in a two year sequence.
